Jaarraa Abbaa Gadaa, a giant of the Oromo nation, the father of Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) and the uncompromising freedom fighter till his last days. Due to the determination of Jaarraa and his comrades, who braved the darkness of those days, our nation has come far and long. The journey shall continue, and the future is bright! Our nation mourns the passing of its brave son, who now joins our other founding fathers. Innaa lillaahi wa inna ileyhi raaji’uun. He dedicated his life to lift his people out of the state of humiliation and oppression. Abdulkarim Ibrahim Hamid, better known as Jaarraa Abbaa Gadaa, has passed away. We ask that Allah to forgive him and grant him al Firdaws.
